Ember & Iron is a new brand built around the craft of outdoor cooking, bringing together BBQs, smokers, grills, accessories, recipes, and hands-on classes through a dedicated ecommerce platform.

I developed a distinctive brand identity rooted in heritage, durability, and the ritual of cooking over fire. The direction draws on traditional metalwork and classic grill brands, using bold serif typography, arched forms, and a simple maker’s mark to reflect equipment that’s built to last.
At the centre of the identity is a flexible logo system, designed to work across digital, print, packaging, and future retail environments. The primary mark carries the full character of the brand, supported by a suite of secondary logos, monograms, and stamp-style marks that allow the identity to scale across different applications without losing consistency.
To support the rollout, I created a series of visual website concepts to explore how the brand could translate into an e-commerce experience. These helped define the tone, layout, and product presentation, ensuring the identity works as effectively online as it does in print.
The result is a brand that feels established from day one, confident, practical, and built with purpose. Ember & Iron now has a clear and consistent visual foundation to grow within the outdoor cooking market.
